Local Activity Place (Miejsce Aktywności Lokalnej – MAL) is a space for meetings, joint activities and the implementation of inhabitants’ ideas. The aim of MAL is to create and strengthen local community.
In 2021, I was a cultural animator at MAL Kotłownia in Ulrychów, Warsaw. I co-created the program of this place based on the needs of inhabitants. The most important project for me was "Neighborhood Singing" – I supported Mr. Andrzej Kowalczyk, a resident of Ulrychów, in the implementation of his idea, including helping to obtain funding under the "Neighborhood Initiatives" program. Together with Jagna Godzińska, also an animator at MAL Kotłownia, we made a short movie about Mr. Andrzej and his initiative: LINK
